Join us for NIH's September Virtual Workshop
Join us and our colleagues at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for their virtual workshop “Genetic Modifiers: Lessons from Nervous System Disorders” on September 21-23. The workshop aims to promote collaborations, confront challenges and highlight successful strategies for genetic modifier discovery, validation, and clinical implementation as part of the NIH Blueprint mission to foster transformative discoveries in neuroscience.
IHCC’s own Hakon Hakonarson, Co-Lead of the Scientific Strategies Working Group, will be presenting during day 3 of the meeting (September 23) for a session on research resources for genetic modifiers where he will highlight recent IHCC data on Alzheimer’s Disease.
The meeting will be co-chaired by Huda Zoghbi, M.D. (Baylor College of Medicine), Susan Ackerman, Ph.D. (University of California, San Diego), Monica Justice, Ph.D. (The Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto), Marcy MacDonald, Ph.D. (MGH/Harvard University), Trudy MacKay, Ph.D. (Clemson University), and Stephan Zuchner, M.D., Ph.D. (University of Miami).
