Dr. Manolio is a physician and epidemiologist, at the NIH and Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre. She joined NHGRI in 2005 to lead efforts in applying genomic technologies to population research. She has authored over 270 research reports and has research interests in genome-wide association studies of complex diseases, ethnic differences in disease risk, and incorporating genomic findings into clinical care.
